#sheneedsthemoneymorethanme

This post is personal. so allow me to introduce myself. My name is Judy, and I've been a volunteer at Na'am for the past few years. So when I was told I would receive a lump sum of cash from my government, it was a no-brainer. Pass it on to people who should be getting government assistance and aren't. That sum won't make a difference to me, but it will to someone else.

Lod and Ramle, two mixed-Arab Jewish cities have been hard-hit by COVID-19. Calls to report domestic violence and abuse have more than doubled, unemployment and economic hardship have been especially hard on women and families. In the meantime, measures that could alleviate the situation are held up in coalition-based debates on the budget.

I have seen and heard that hardship firsthand, and that is why I cannot, in good conscience, just add that sum to my bank account and ignore these women, who live just a few kilometers away from me.

I invite you to join me. You can go to my Facebook page, upload your own photos or video with the hashtag, and of course, donate to Na'am. Na'am is on the ground, getting food vouchers and packages to families, helping women get themselves out of dangerous situations, ensuring women understand their rights and helping them obtain those rights.

You can donate through this website:
